An opportunity exists for an Electronic Warfare Engineer within our MSP business, based in Adelaide. QinetiQ is a part of a Major Service Provider (MSP) Consortium.  As a partner to Defence under this consortium, we share Defence’s commitment to growing the capability of delivering large integrated work packages across the Capability Acquisition and Sustainment Group (CASG) domains.  Our work sees us helping to diagnose, rationalise and solve intractable problems by providing analysis, advice and assurance. Whether operating on the ocean floor, or in orbit, we get under the skin of a problem to enable our customers to make sound decisions about cost, time and performance Our new Electronic Warfare Engineer role has responsibilities for working within an engineering team for a complex aerospace platform using a systems engineering design philosophy, to develop and deliver design solutions. You will be responsible for:Process Engineering Change Proposals (ECP’s)DASR Part 21J Engineering Design Changes, and other logistics processes adhering to engineering standard instructionsInvestigating and reporting on weapon system engineering issuesReviewing and updating engineering proceduresWorking within and to DASR legislation and regulations, standards and best practicesHolding internal engineering delegation at the Design Engineer 2 or Systems Engineer 2 levelHaving an understanding of maintenance and engineering cost drivers and how to ensure cost effectiveness To be successful in the role of Electronic Warfare Engineer, you will need to bring with you:Qualifications in Avionics, Electronics or compatible discipline, and be recognised by Engineers Australia as an Engineering Associate or above.Extensive experience performing analysis of Aviation and IT systems.Experience reviewing technical documentation.Ability and willingness to engage in investigation of technical issues, development and review of technical documents.Strong interpersonal skills with ability to build long-lasting, collaborative relationships with peers and interdependent functions; and manage conflicting priorities within a matrix organisation.Confident and open communicator with the ability to convey messages clearly, concisely and persuasively.Demonstrated commitment to safety, quality and customer satisfaction. Candidates are required to hold a NV2 security clearance, with eligibility for a TS PV clearance.Due to the dynamic environment we work within, we can’t always wait until our adverts close before reviewing applications and moving to interview. Our new Electronic Warfare Engineer role has responsibilities for working within an engineering team for a complex aerospace platform using a systems engineering design philosophy, to develop and deliver design solutions.

 

You will be responsible for:
