We act as an independent, technical partner for customers looking to procure defined services and develop specific capabilities. We help them diagnose, rationalise and solve intractable problems by providing analysis, advice and assurance. Whether operating on the ocean floor, or in orbit around Mars, we get under the skin of a problem to enable our customers to make sound decisions about cost, time and performance.About the roleYou will provide specialist communications engineering expertise to our Advisory Engineering Team and ensure the technical integrity of the C4I system being delivered on behalf of one of our key customers.As Communications Engineer you will be responsible for:Providing technical input and guidance to technical stakeholders and their teams.Managing C4I capability through systems engineering product lifecycle from SDR to Design Acceptance for a Land Platform.Updating and maintaining all relevant engineering artefacts in accordance with project activities.Providing technical input to the management and scheduling of technical activities.Engaging stakeholders and managing stakeholder expectations.Authoring, updating and approving technical documentation.Reporting on progress against deliverables, proposed activities, risks and issues, and key priorities.To be successful for the role of Communications Engineer you will require:Relevant tertiary qualifications in Communications Engineering with relevant industry or domain work experience.Experience in Communications, C4i and/or Systems IntegrationUnderstanding of the Defence Systems Engineering Lifecycle and TRAMM-L requirementsExperience with HF, VHF, UHF radio operation and managing interface;Experience in C4I system management, installation, integration, testing, operation and maintenanceExperience in supporting V&V program, test planning, test conduct and reportingKnowledge of Defence and Land technical regulatory framework (TRF) requirementsEligibility to obtain an Australian Government secret clearance is required.Applications close on Friday 14th June 2019.What we offerWithout the collective smarts of our people, we would not be able to achieve what we do. About the role
