Relocation assistance will be offered if not currently in any of these locations, as will remote working.As an Explosive Ordnance Engineer you will have:Experience  in designing and engineering guided weapons and munition/weapons systemsAnalysing, assessing and making judgments on technical issues concerning guided weapons and munition/weapons systemsGenerating and reviewing technical EO publications, including EO Design Assessments and DEOP Topic publicationsEngineering procedures, documentation, databases and management systemsProducing written documents for the Defence IndustryTo be successful for the role of Explosive Ordnance Engineer you will require:Tertiary Engineering qualifications (mechanical, chemical, aerospace or similar) and maintaining professional competencies in the weapons engineering domainAn understanding of the regulatory requirements applicable to the acquisition and/or sustainment of Australian Defence Force (ADF) EO assetsExperience working within Defence in the fields of explosive ordnance or guided weapons engineering in uniformed, public service or commercial sector rolesExperience working within engineering management and quality systems frameworksKnowledge and understanding of test & evaluation, systems engineering and configuration management standards and practices would be considered highly advantageousPost graduate qualifications in the fields of guided weapons engineering, explosive ordnance engineering or systems engineering would be considered highly advantageousPrevious recognition as an Engineering Authority within a Defence or commercial engineering organisation would be considered highly advantageousEligibility to obtain an Australian Government secret clearance is required.Interviews for these roles will be taking place from Wednesday 5 June 2019.What we offerWithout the collective smarts of our people, we would not be able to achieve what we do. As an Explosive Ordnance Engineer you will have:

  • Experience  in designing and engineering guided weapons and munition/weapons systems
  • Analysing, assessing and making judgments on technical issues concerning guided weapons and munition/weapons systems
  • Generating and reviewing technical EO publications, including EO Design Assessments and DEOP Topic publications
  • Engineering procedures, documentation, databases and management systems
  • Producing written documents for the Defence Industry

To be successful for the role of Explosive Ordnance Engineer you will require:

  • Tertiary Engineering qualifications (mechanical, chemical, aerospace or similar) and maintaining professional competencies in the weapons engineering domain
  • An understanding of the regulatory requirements applicable to the acquisition and/or sustainment of Australian Defence Force (ADF) EO assets
  • Experience working within Defence in the fields of explosive ordnance or guided weapons engineering in uniformed, public service or commercial sector roles
  • Experience working within engineering management and quality systems frameworks
  • Knowledge and understanding of test & evaluation, systems engineering and configuration management standards and practices would be considered highly advantageous
  • Post graduate qualifications in the fields of guided weapons engineering, explosive ordnance engineering or systems engineering would be considered highly advantageous
  • Previous recognition as an Engineering Authority within a Defence or commercial engineering organisation would be considered highly advantageous

Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government secret clearance is required.
