Supporting our work is our Corporate Services division; the oil in the QinetiQ machine.This is an exciting role,that will help you get your foot in the door, as a Junior Graphic Designer.  You will be responsible for ongoing Graphic Design work to support the marketing team in both Canberra and Brisbane. As part of the role you will be expected to FIFO to Brisbane roughly 3 days per week until September       Designing creative, eye-catching marketing and corporate communications collateral and executions across digital and print channelsEnsuring brand consistency across all assets, meeting brand guidelines and best practiceEfficiently working to deadlines, prioritising work and managing creative approvals and final deliveryWorking collaboratively with technical experts to understand design briefs and determine requirementsCreating infographics, charts and other visual elements for inclusion in bids, proposals and other marketing collateralDeveloping short turnaround graphics, animations and/or branded photos for social mediaAssisting with website maintenance and monitoringPhoto editing and retouchingProviding general administrative support to the marketing teamTo be successful for the role of Junior Graphic Designer you will require:A Bachelor of Design or similarGraphic design experienceProficient in Adobe Creative SuiteThe ability to interpret technical information into easy to understand text and graphics for our target audiencesMulti-disciplinary experience across digital and printKnowledge of current design trendsKnowledge of navigating social media platforms and how to create contentAlways having your finger on the pulse in terms of what is trending in graphics/video, and how we can utilise it to our advantageCollaborative, positive and enjoy working in a team environmentInterest in or basic knowledge of motion graphicsVideo editing and/or email marketing experienceEligibility to obtain an Australian Government secret clearance is required.Applications close on 20th June 2019What we offerWithout the collective smarts of our people, we would not be able to achieve what we do.   • Creating infographics, charts and other visual elements for inclusion in bids, proposals and other marketing collateral
  • Developing short turnaround graphics, animations and/or branded photos for social media
  • Assisting with website maintenance and monitoring
  • Photo editing and retouching
  • Providing general administrative support to the marketing team

To be successful for the role of Junior Graphic Designer you will require:

  • A Bachelor of Design or similar
  • Graphic design experience
  • Proficient in Adobe Creative Suite
  • The ability to interpret technical information into easy to understand text and graphics for our target audiences
  • Multi-disciplinary experience across digital and print
  • Knowledge of current design trends
  • Knowledge of navigating social media platforms and how to create content
  • Always having your finger on the pulse in terms of what is trending in graphics/video, and how we can utilise it to our advantage
  • Collaborative, positive and enjoy working in a team environment
  • Interest in or basic knowledge of motion graphics
  • Video editing and/or email marketing experience

Eligibility to obtain an Australian Government secret clearance is required.
