We act as an independent, technical partner for customers looking to procure defined services and develop specific capabilities. We help them diagnose, rationalise and solve intractable problems by providing analysis, advice and assurance. Whether operating on the ocean floor, or in orbit, we get under the skin of a problem to enable our customers to make sound decisions about cost, time and performance.About the roleThe System Administrator is required to provide system administrative support under general direction in a key capability domain; participate within a business environment that is in a complex, emerging domain which operates at a rapid pace.As a Systems Administrator you will be responsible for:Design, install, configure and maintain Linux or Microsoft based systems (e.g. CentOS, RedHat, Windows 10).Configure Puppet, Ansible or Powershell to prepare and replicate system builds under broad direction.Assist in the continuous improvement process by developing and enhancing procedures.Navigate a complex business environment under broad direction and in doing so, be prepared to approach a wide variety of engaged stakeholders.Communicate with diverse stakeholder groups in technical and business process terms.Write documentation in accordance with ASD policies and procedures.To be successful for the role of Systems Administrator you will require:Host based security (SELinux, IPTables, etc.)OpenStack, OpenShift, DockerDevOps and Image BuildingThis role requires NV1 Security Clearance.
